| Sonoma County is the home of many diverse microclimates and growing regions. With such a broad area to cover, we have chosen a few select vineyard sites and areas with in the large county lines. A good portion of our wine comes from the Russian River Valley. The Russian River basin starts in Mendocino County, runs south into Sonoma County, and then west as the river turns toward the Pacific Ocean just north of Forestville, California. Along the way it encompasses the Ukiah and Alexander Valleys. The area comprising the Russian River Ava starts around Healdsburg (in Sonoma County) and goes in a southerly direction toward Sebastopol. It is an exquisite region for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The cool mornings and evenings lend to longer ripening periods , influenced by hot summer days make for optimal conditions. You will find just about all types of landscape in the region as well. Rolling hills that lead out to the coast, valleys nestled in fog in the mornings and evenings. | | |
